Music Reader

Well everyone, it turns out my idea was so good, someone else already thought of it.
So when the ipad came out... i was thinking to myself... whats the point in that? Its a touch screen laptop without a keyboard. An enlarged iphone. The touch screen is a great feature, but the typing just would suck.
So I got to thinking... what would be great to use this for is music. I hate not being able to turn pages quickly or having to ship all my music to different places. If I could keep all my music in one simple place (computer library) and just call it up on one screen, that would be perfect. It would be more sleek for performers too.
So there is an app now for the ipad in the apple app store. (woah, weird sentence) But their files are only for their software. (go to musicreader.net to read more)

My idea for this app would be to have the ability to import pdf's (because thats what most of the music downloads are in) or finale files (cause finale is probably the most used music editing software) and a converter to go in between the different files.

It would also be important to convince music publishers to publish an electronic version.

There are so many further possibilities with this idea it just makes me excited... for a product that will probably never exist during my time.

The features that are currently available with this software are:
Library (storing)
Page turner
browser
annotation
zoom
fullscreen
two page screen
half page display (for closer zoom)
tuner
metronome
music player
sound recorder
scan music
import files
printer driver
measure location
catalog

some features i would add on to this:
well first of all make it a dual screen ipad so that its more like having two screens
a smart microphone that can detect pitch and therefore where you are in the piece
music editing software- in case the editor made a mistake, or was a misprint OR for easy copy paste to create your own renditions
quick links to info on the piece- for better depth of knowledge or even looking for youtube videos or suggested recordings to listen to of the piece
if there was a website, a share area to read what other people are experiencing with the same piece
a way to link to garage band to play around with the recordings
midi playback of the piece (like finale)

i understand software of this calibur would be extremely expensive and take a while to develop
but it would be so worthwhile and awesome and i want it now!
