Family Archiving Network

There are plenty of history search archives.

however, its more of finding information. And they don't have access to everything all in one place.
Perhaps if they were all synced, or if your family members managed different accounts, then you could all pool your efforts into another page.
I'm thinking a family network thing where you can upload all sorts of information. Pictures, stories, journal entries, notes, timelines... all that stuff. In folders that are linked like a family tree. This would also make it possible to keep track of your relatives who are alive today. They could post links to their blogs or facebook pages. Then you could know names of your family and keep up with the new kids who are being added. Then, if you found someone else alive who was related to you, you could merge folders as well and the connections could double every time. AMAZING.

Maps!

people are pretty terrible with geography. For example, I remember when I used to tell people I was samoan and people would be like what is that? or oh you mean tongan? or is that part of hawaii? ARE YOU SERIOUS?! anyways. neither has my mom who is a second grade teacher been very good at geography where she didn't know that dominican republic and haiti shared an island or that they were different countries. A MASTER DEGREE and you cant understand that? In a rapidly globalizing world, that is a terrible reality. The best thing to do would be to educate from a young age. I know people put up maps as walls or have globes around to look at. There is now google maps and GPS to help people as well. The thing that I think would be great, is to sync up google earth to one of these bad boys

imagine this home decor was a collection of touch-screens linked to the google earth program to where you could zoom and see photos learning geography? BLOODY BRILLIANT.

Modest fashion

i know there are stores in utah dedicated to modesty...
but to be honest they are grandma stores.
there are styles that are pretty modest...
there are just some clothes that they really could add a few more inches of material to and it would still look fine. im not a clothing designer,  (unfortunately)
but i think those efforts might help a little bit with the over obsession of sex in society.
...to where PRE teens are now getting pregnant
and princesses arent idolized past age 4.
seriously? when i have kids i dont want them to have people like miley cyrus as a role model.
AND i dont want them to draw attention to their body to the point that they are so self conscious and self loathing as i am and as the media makes people!
maybe ill just learn how to sew so that i can tailor to mine and my family's needs so i can fix the crap that is on the consumer market, make it original, but still not draw unnecessary attention!

Organic tampons

this isnt a new idea either...
but i think it should be a little more widespread.
BECAUSE they are so expensive.
AND a lot dont have applicators.
why not have a cardboard applicator?
AND the cardboard ones... I think they need to have a rounded tip like the plastic ones.
cause when they dont it is irritating.
the reason why is because they are safer because the chlorine causes tss right?
also I heard that the bleach makes you bleed longer.
man are you kidding? if i can make it last less time, YES PLEASE.

Fat tax

I heard on Glozel's channel on youtube that they might start taxing fat people....
I know its kind of mean but I also believe it might do the country some good.
Just because we need money and also because America has terrible eating habits.
I also feel like junk food could be taxed. that is extra money AND making people not want to eat junk so much.
And going even farther than that
I think that forcing a better diet might help problems like people going in to the health clinics that cant pay for it. Just because all around health will be better.
My idea was forcing that diet at the cafeteria. It would reduce waste too but we could lower the price and only sell one plate... and have each plate be the same amount of calories so if you eat three meals a day, then you get your daily intake of calories. and if someone wants to be picky, they can go somewhere else and buy junk food. It would make health and food costs better... and we could have better quality food in the caf.

Skipper and Mo

well this is more just for myself
I was thinking of making an adult swim sort of cartoon
thats almost like robot chicken in that it incorporates other characters or does smaller skit sort of things
but it would be about captain skipper and his first mate mo
and the characters would look like me and nate so that when the show gets famous
we can dress like the characters and maybe make appearances on talk shows
the appearances might even be for the cartoon itself like how spongebob has live action parts to it
anyways, so the setting is in a harbor where other shows sailors and such have retired to a boat house community like popeye and flapjack... things like that.
and there are adventures within the community but also mo likes to venture out. she is evil and skip is good. but they are married anyways. perfect compliments of each other. she always tries to take over the world by stretching skips orders because skip stays inside the cabin most of the time.
an example of something that mo would do is capture a pokemon like pikachu and breed it with rabits so it would multiply really fast, trying to take over, but then captain planet would come in to save the day. basically a world where all cartoons exist together.

Airplane Preparedness kits

I know a few people who are terrified of flying. Especially after 9/11, people are really scared. Well, come on people, be awesome instead. I think that the best way to be prepared, is to have a waterproof carry on bag with all your essentials. Like a 72 hour kit right. Well. like a mini flashlight and a pocket for your phone or something... a camera for documentation... anyways here is a waterproof bag ive thought about getting:

Quiksilver Sea Locker bag
Then so you have all the objects you need that are important kept safe in case you have to be in the water. SURVIVAL CENTRAL
but you wont always be in water. I think that everyone should train with one of these:

you could pack it with you or it would be available with your life vest. That way you could jump out of the plane if you knew it was going to crash and very gracefully touch down on land. Well not really. These guys still have parachutes but im just saying. some injury after landing is still better than not landing aka CRASHING WITH THE PLANE INTO A BURST OF FLAMES ON A SIDE OF A MOUNTAIN. precautionary things. also incentive to be in shape. you wont die! good on you mate!

Neighborhood revamp

I know a lot of social work majors come up with NGO and NPOs for their senior projects and classes and what not, but I had my own ideas about them...

Like if some people want to give to the organization and help out... then they go into a house and live there... so pay rent, but whatever they pay rent on they revamp AND they help the family revamp their place. I dont know how to make it all work, but this would help neighborhoods look better, get communities more stable and comfortable, healthier or whatever and get people involved with each other.

Its a premature idea but an idea none the less.

Landfill minimizing!

I know that recycling still isn't as big as it should be. And I should do more research about what plastics can and cannot be recycled. Or other materials for that matter.

You would think that with how much stuff is in the landfills now, how much space it takes up, that we have used up enough natural resources that can just be recycled over and over.

First of all, there are organic materials, and non organic material right?
Okay, easy steps first of all, separating oil. We don't need that stuff in the ocean and well it can be used for fuel and glycerine can be made into soap. We do that in our cafeteria.
Also, compost. Insects and worms can break down organic materials into compost for your garden. DIRT basically. (well its poop but it looks like dirt!)

So there is that. Where are the recycling bins when you need them? Next step is to make garbage cans in the city separated into different bins and educate people on how to throw their trash away. It would be a gold mine for bums! I mean they are probably the best recyclers ever since they go dumpster diving for cans and stuff to turn in for a bit of cash! Good on you!

Alright but thats not my big idea. Thats not even my idea haha. So I watched this show called auction hunters

And these guys go find abandoned storage units and make money off of antiques. Problem is, they have to clear out the units in a certain amount of time, and they don't keep most of it. It is considered junk, and they fill up their truck and take it to the landfill. Hello?! a landfill? one man's trash is another mans treasure... I thought that was the point of the show? So how about the decent things that you don't think you will make money off of, give to charities... like... THE DI?!
Being a poor kid, man I bought a lot of this used stuff at this store. Thats right, I wore other peoples clothes for most of my life! If they find it useful, they put it in their store. And Im sure if it doesn't get bought out, there can be other uses for it. Recycle for one... crafts? Artsy people. I dunno, hipsters like to wear trashy looking clothes right? Yes. Intelligent bums is what they are. Anyways. I'm just annoyed with capitalism right now... reading history about how it ruined a lot of peoples lives. So how about stop throwing money away and keep the planet alive? please?

Human Powered Movie Theater

This idea came about as I thought that instead of idly sitting and watching movies for so many hours of my life, if I was also exercising, I would double task and do my body good.
So the idea is this. Have a cardio theater set up, but in all the theaters, and have the bikes and such set up to generators which make the movie run.
how awesome would that be? wicked.

Music Reader

Well everyone, it turns out my idea was so good, someone else already thought of it.
So when the ipad came out... i was thinking to myself... whats the point in that? Its a touch screen laptop without a keyboard. An enlarged iphone. The touch screen is a great feature, but the typing just would suck.
So I got to thinking... what would be great to use this for is music. I hate not being able to turn pages quickly or having to ship all my music to different places. If I could keep all my music in one simple place (computer library) and just call it up on one screen, that would be perfect. It would be more sleek for performers too.
So there is an app now for the ipad in the apple app store. (woah, weird sentence) But their files are only for their software. (go to musicreader.net to read more)

My idea for this app would be to have the ability to import pdf's (because thats what most of the music downloads are in) or finale files (cause finale is probably the most used music editing software) and a converter to go in between the different files.

It would also be important to convince music publishers to publish an electronic version.

There are so many further possibilities with this idea it just makes me excited... for a product that will probably never exist during my time.

The features that are currently available with this software are:
Library (storing)
Page turner
browser
annotation
zoom
fullscreen
two page screen
half page display (for closer zoom)
tuner
metronome
music player
sound recorder
scan music
import files
printer driver
measure location
catalog

some features i would add on to this:
well first of all make it a dual screen ipad so that its more like having two screens
a smart microphone that can detect pitch and therefore where you are in the piece
music editing software- in case the editor made a mistake, or was a misprint OR for easy copy paste to create your own renditions
quick links to info on the piece- for better depth of knowledge or even looking for youtube videos or suggested recordings to listen to of the piece
if there was a website, a share area to read what other people are experiencing with the same piece
a way to link to garage band to play around with the recordings
midi playback of the piece (like finale)

i understand software of this calibur would be extremely expensive and take a while to develop
but it would be so worthwhile and awesome and i want it now!
