Landfill minimizing!

I know that recycling still isn't as big as it should be. And I should do more research about what plastics can and cannot be recycled. Or other materials for that matter.

You would think that with how much stuff is in the landfills now, how much space it takes up, that we have used up enough natural resources that can just be recycled over and over.

First of all, there are organic materials, and non organic material right?
Okay, easy steps first of all, separating oil. We don't need that stuff in the ocean and well it can be used for fuel and glycerine can be made into soap. We do that in our cafeteria.
Also, compost. Insects and worms can break down organic materials into compost for your garden. DIRT basically. (well its poop but it looks like dirt!)

So there is that. Where are the recycling bins when you need them? Next step is to make garbage cans in the city separated into different bins and educate people on how to throw their trash away. It would be a gold mine for bums! I mean they are probably the best recyclers ever since they go dumpster diving for cans and stuff to turn in for a bit of cash! Good on you!

Alright but thats not my big idea. Thats not even my idea haha. So I watched this show called auction hunters

And these guys go find abandoned storage units and make money off of antiques. Problem is, they have to clear out the units in a certain amount of time, and they don't keep most of it. It is considered junk, and they fill up their truck and take it to the landfill. Hello?! a landfill? one man's trash is another mans treasure... I thought that was the point of the show? So how about the decent things that you don't think you will make money off of, give to charities... like... THE DI?!
Being a poor kid, man I bought a lot of this used stuff at this store. Thats right, I wore other peoples clothes for most of my life! If they find it useful, they put it in their store. And Im sure if it doesn't get bought out, there can be other uses for it. Recycle for one... crafts? Artsy people. I dunno, hipsters like to wear trashy looking clothes right? Yes. Intelligent bums is what they are. Anyways. I'm just annoyed with capitalism right now... reading history about how it ruined a lot of peoples lives. So how about stop throwing money away and keep the planet alive? please?

Human Powered Movie Theater

This idea came about as I thought that instead of idly sitting and watching movies for so many hours of my life, if I was also exercising, I would double task and do my body good.
So the idea is this. Have a cardio theater set up, but in all the theaters, and have the bikes and such set up to generators which make the movie run.
how awesome would that be? wicked.

Music Reader

Well everyone, it turns out my idea was so good, someone else already thought of it.
So when the ipad came out... i was thinking to myself... whats the point in that? Its a touch screen laptop without a keyboard. An enlarged iphone. The touch screen is a great feature, but the typing just would suck.
So I got to thinking... what would be great to use this for is music. I hate not being able to turn pages quickly or having to ship all my music to different places. If I could keep all my music in one simple place (computer library) and just call it up on one screen, that would be perfect. It would be more sleek for performers too.
So there is an app now for the ipad in the apple app store. (woah, weird sentence) But their files are only for their software. (go to musicreader.net to read more)

My idea for this app would be to have the ability to import pdf's (because thats what most of the music downloads are in) or finale files (cause finale is probably the most used music editing software) and a converter to go in between the different files.

It would also be important to convince music publishers to publish an electronic version.

There are so many further possibilities with this idea it just makes me excited... for a product that will probably never exist during my time.

The features that are currently available with this software are:
Library (storing)
Page turner
browser
annotation
zoom
fullscreen
two page screen
half page display (for closer zoom)
tuner
metronome
music player
sound recorder
scan music
import files
printer driver
measure location
catalog

some features i would add on to this:
well first of all make it a dual screen ipad so that its more like having two screens
a smart microphone that can detect pitch and therefore where you are in the piece
music editing software- in case the editor made a mistake, or was a misprint OR for easy copy paste to create your own renditions
quick links to info on the piece- for better depth of knowledge or even looking for youtube videos or suggested recordings to listen to of the piece
if there was a website, a share area to read what other people are experiencing with the same piece
a way to link to garage band to play around with the recordings
midi playback of the piece (like finale)

i understand software of this calibur would be extremely expensive and take a while to develop
but it would be so worthwhile and awesome and i want it now!
